Ruane to retire from ARTBA in October

Transportation construction lobbyist has been prominent voice in policy debatesRuane The American Road & Transportation Builders Association announced June 19 that CEO Pete Ruane—one of the best-known and most outspoken advocates in the industry—will end his long tenure with the trade group. Ruane has been CEO since joining the association in 1988. Executive Vice President and COO William Toohey, a 33-year ARTBA veteran, will be acting CEO after Ruane steps down.
