One of the strongest predictors of pay for an association CEO is the size of an organization: The larger the group, the bigger the paycheck. But new CEO Update data shows that as revenue dips below $4 million, its influence on compensation declines rapidly. At around $3 million, revenue has almost no influence on pay. In the data set analyzed, for CEOs leading groups with revenue between $1 million and $2 million, median pay is $203,04.
