Serota Scott Serota, the longterm chief of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, earned $4,182,231 in salary and $1,266,611 in deferred compensation, vaulting him into third place for highest paid chief executive in 2011 (so far), behind CEOs at American Gaming Association and Edison Electric Institute.
