SHRM taps former Kaiser executive as new CEO

Laurence O’Neil chosen to succeed Susan Meisinger as top executive October 1. Gorman remains acting chief executive in interim. The Society for Human Resource Management selected Laurence “Lon” G. O’Neil as its new president and CEO, effective Oct. 1 ending a six-month nationwide search. O’Neil succeeds Susan Meisinger, who announced her retirement in January and departed the 245,000-individual-membership society June 30.
