Washington area CEOs are nation’s highest compensated

ASAE study cites higher cost of living and larger nonprofit budget size as top reasons why D.C. chief executives are earning the most money. Association CEOs in the Washington, D.C. area take home more pay than nonprofit leaders in other locations, according to the Association Compensation and Benefits Study, 2008-2009 edition unveiled by the American Society of Association Executives at their annual meeting in San Diego Aug. 16-19.
