White issues resignation from American Bar Association

Henry F. White Jr., the three-year executive director of the American Bar Association, announced his resignation from the group effective Nov. 20, said an ABA announcement. General Counsel R. Thomas Howell Jr., will be the 400,000-member group’s interim head. White’s resignation from the ABA follows the September departure of Chief Financial Officer Kenneth Widelka, who joined the group in 2008. White had joined the $155-million revenue ABA in October 2006 from the $925,000-revenue Institute of International Container Lessors, a group he had led since 1999 and whose members lease marine cargo containers to ship operators.
