ASAE has recognized three individuals for exceptional leadership while at the same time announcing this year's association recipients of the group's annual Power of A Awards.
Peter O'Neil, CEO of ASIS International, will receive the Key Award during a ceremony at the 2019 ASAE Annual Meeting, which will be held August 10-13 in Columbus, Ohio. The award is presented to association chief executives who demonstrate exceptional qualities of leadership at their association and display a deep commitment to voluntary membership organizations.
Jeff De Cagna, executive advisor of Foresight First, will be presented with the Academy of Leaders Award, which is given to consultants or industry partners who have demonstrated exemplary support of ASAE and the entire association community.
Barbara Benton, vice president of government relations at The Ohio Society of CPAs, will receive the Professional Performance Award, which recognizes invaluable contributions made by association executives who are at the top level in their organizations but are not CEOs.
ASAE also announced six associations will receive Power of A Awards, which will be presented during an October 2 dinner in Washington, D.C. The honor goes to groups that run programs demonstrating association community's contributions to society at the local, national and global levels.
