ASAE has chosen six cities to host its Annual Meeting & Exposition from 2022 to 2027.
The association announced the site selections Thursday. ASAE had previously chosen Las Vegas as the site of its 2020 meeting and Dallas as the site of its 2021 conference.
The group had also previously announced Atlanta as the site of its 2022 conference but will instead hold that year's meeting in Nashville and push Atlanta back to 2023. Atlanta officials requested the meeting be moved back a year to ensure completion of the planned 1,000-room Signia Hilton hotel, which will be attached to the convention center where the conference is to be held.
When selecting host cities, ASAE takes into consideration the convention center facilities, hotel packages and venue options for the evening events, the association said in a statement. Other factors include the geographic location, the commitment of the city to deliver new experiences for attendees and the backing of the local hospitality industry, city leaders and volunteers.
In addition to Nashville and Atlanta, the cities that will host the conference are:
- Cleveland—2024
- Los Angeles—2025
- Indianapolis—2026
- Charlotte, N.C.—2027
"This is our host cities chance to shine in front of an audience of association professionals that determine future meeting sites for their organizations," interim ASAE CEO Susan Robertson said in a statement. "Once onsite, attendees will be acutely aware of everything related to the hospitality, convention facilities, hotels, restaurants and entertainment as well as overall experience. If impressed, they will strongly consider bringing their own association meetings to these cities."
CEO Dateline will resume on Thursday, Jan. 2.
