What famous person would you like to have a beer with? That is the question the Beer Institute put to 1,000 Americans 21 or older and found that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Lady Gaga and former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady topped the list.

Specifically, the Beer Institute asked which famous actor or actress, musician and athlete would respondents like to have a beer with. The survey, conducted by polling firm Quadrant Strategies, was released ahead of National Beer Day on April 7, which recognizes the anniversary of President Franklin Roosevelt legalizing beer before other alcoholic beverages were made legal by the ratification of the 21st Amendment, which ended Prohibition.
"As Americans come together during this difficult time, beer offers us a little bit of joy as we join—often digitally—--with friends and family to share stories and lift each other's spirits," Beer Institute CEO Jim McGreevy said in a statement. "Whether at the theater, on the football field, or at a concert, The Rock, Tom Brady, and Lady Gaga have long brought people together. We look forward to joining our friends and loved ones in-person again to enjoy cinema, sporting events and concerts together when the COVID-19 pandemic ends."
The Beer Institute conducted a similar survey last year asking which celebrity Americans would like to have a beer with. Actress Betty White was the top choice.
