The National Retail Federation has published the last print edition of STORES magazine, which the group has produced for more than 100 years.
NRF CEO Matt Shay announced the decision in an editorial appearing in the magazine's current issue. He noted the long history of the publication, but said that as the retail industry changes, "so too must NRF and the way we tell our industry's story."
The "excellent reporting and thinking delivered by STORES has helped all of us better tell our story to the world," Shay said. "The economic footprint and social impact of retail is massive, but isn't always fully appreciated; STORES has helped to educate, inform and inspire all of us to better advance the industry."
Shay said that while STORES ceases print publication, "much of the vital content we have all relied upon for so long will continue to be published here on NRF's website." http://bit.ly/2rHGekp
