CTIA—The Wireless Association recently announced it would merge its two annual trade shows into a single event to be held in the fall, much to the chagrin of the Competitive Carriers Association, whose own show is held the same time of year. The move by CTIA was in part to avoid competition with the Consumer Electronics Association's International CES show. But CTIA's first event, scheduled for Sept. 9-11, 2014, in Las Vegas, will be held in the same month and city as CCA's show.
