Walter Lukken picked as new CEO of futures association

Former Commodity Futures Trading Commission commissioner replaces John Damgard, who led FIA since 1982 Walter Lukken, a legislative and regulatory veteran of the finance world, will be the new president and CEO of the Futures Industry Association, the group announced Jan. 10. Lukken succeeds John Damgard, who led FIA since 1982. Damgard announced last March that he would soon retire from his leadership role, after nearly 30 years at the helm.

Suskavcevic named CEO of Craft & Hobby Association

Andrej Suskavcevic, former CEO of Commercial Finance Association, to head group after eight-month search for new leader Andrej Suskavcevic was named president and CEO of the $7 million-revenue Craft & Hobby Association Jan. 10, ending the organization’s eight-month hunt for a new top executive. Suskavcevic most recently was CEO of the New York City-based Commercial Finance Association, a position he held for more than four years. He replaces Steve Berger, who left CHA in May after spending eight years as its CEO.
