Rick Perry spoke to an estimated 20,000 members of several business groups in a telephone conference Nov. 8, the latest in an association Town Hall teleforum series. The teleforum was held jointly by the National Restaurant Association, National Federation of Independent Business, Associated Builders and Contractors and the National Association of Home Builders.

Former head of the Mortgage Bankers Association replaces Fredrick Humphreys, who retires at years end John Courson, former head of the Mortgage Bankers Association, has been named president and CEO of the Home Builders Institute. Courson will replace longtime HBI president and CEO Frederick Humphreys, who will retire at the end of this year. Humphreys has led HBI for 11 years.
