Korn/Ferry promotes Nels Olson

Nels Olson, managing director of Korn/Ferry International’s Washington office, has been promoted to managing director of the Eastern region and the firm’s New York office. A press release provided by the company said the promotion is effective immediately. Olson, 40, succeeds Charles W.B. Wardell III, 60, who was named a senior client partner and will be based in the Stamford, Conn., office. Olson will continue to run the Washington DC office and split his time between the Capital and New York.

Postage increase to be capped at inflation rate

The United States Postal Service board of directors voted to cap postage increases at the rate of inflation in advance of when the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act was to take effect. By voting the cap in early, USPS is forgoing their chance to increase rates under the old method. “It’s a huge improvement for nonprofits, the new system,” said Anthony Conway, the Executive director for the Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers and a former USPS executive.
