Groups express support for Internet tax bill A total of 173 state and national associations are urging federal lawmakers to take up legislation that would spell out the circumstance under which states could collect sales taxes from online purchases.

Retailers accused the financial intuitions of price fixing, saying they had collaborated to set credit card swipe fees at artificially high rates.
