Business groups urge passage of proposed federal budget At least two organizations representing some of the nation's largest companies are urging federal lawmakers to pass a budget now that a deal has been reached. Louis Chênevert, chairman of Business Roundtable's tax and fiscal policy committee, called the deal reached by both chambers of Congress proof that lawmakers can work together on big-ticket items despite the current political climate.
