Recent departures, arrivals and promotions at associations
McCormick
Michael McCormick is stepping down from the Global Business Travel Association, which he has led as executive director and COO since 2009. His successor is Scott Solombrino, who recently retired as CEO of a chauffeured transportation company. Solombrino leaves his post as president of GBTA's Allied Leadership Council.
The Catholic Health Association of the United States named Mary Haddad as CEO, a Sister of Mercy and CHA's VP of sponsorship and mission services. She succeeds retiring CEO Sr. Carol Keehan.
Diane Tomb takes on a new CEO role at the American Land Title Association July 1. She is executive director of the National Rental Home Council and was previously president of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Tomb succeeds Michelle Korsmo, now CEO of Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America.
The Customer Experience Professionals Association has name Greg Melia CEO—a newly established full-time position. Melia's association background includes chief membership and volunteer relations officer at ASAE and director of the Institute of Organization Management at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Senior staff arrivals include: John Abegg, former chief counsel to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who joins the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Legal Reform as executive vice president; Bradley Hoppe, director of global packaging regulations at the Plastics Industry Association; Mike Goscinski, director of state and federal affairs at the National Automatic Merchandising Association; Jim Smith, senior director of technology standards and solutions at the Auto Care Association.
Destinations International announced two hires: Dawn Holden as VP of membership engagement and Paula Beck as director of marketing.
