Recent departures, arrivals and promotions at associations
Pierre-Louis
Stanley Pierre-Louis was promoted to CEO of the Entertainment Software Association, a role he had been filling as interim since Mike Gallagher stepped down in October. The May 13 announcement came just a few days after Variety published a months-long investigation into workplace troubles under Gallagher's leadership. Pierre-Louis had been SVP and general counsel at the video gaming group.
It will be a long goodbye for Joyce Smith, who announced her summer 2020 retirement from the National Association for College Admission Counseling. She has led the organization for 22 years.
Stepping down this month are Allen Moczygemba, CEO of the St. Joseph, Mo.-based American Angus Association, and Frank Wilton, CEO of the American Association of Tissue Banks.
Jane Larimer is being promoted to CEO of Nacha—The Electronic Payments Association, effective July 1. She succeeds Janet Estep, who will retire at the end of 2019.
Ryan LeGrand is also being promoted, to CEO of the U.S. Grains Council in mid-June. He is director of the group's Mexico City office. Constance Cullman, current CEO of the Farm Foundation, will become CEO of the American Feed Industry Association July 29.
Gail MacKinnon was promoted to senior EVP, global policy and public affairs, at the Motion Picture Association of America. Trish Johnson was promoted to CFO and SVP, finance at the National Association of Broadcasters.
The American Psychological Association has appointed Dawnavan Davis as its first chief diversity officer.
Other staff arrivals include Jeff Sands as director of government affairs at USA Rice, Roberto Fierro as director of legislative strategy at BSA | The Software Alliance and Joshua Habursky as director of federal affairs at the Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers Association.
