Liquid terminal association parts ways with president

The International Liquid Terminals Association announced Kathryn Clay is no longer president of the organization. Clay had led the group since March 2018. ILTA has promoted Executive Vice President Leakhena Swett to interim president. Swett joined the group in 2019 as vice president of marketing and member experience before being named EVP in July 2023. She previously spent nine years at the American Chiropractic Association.

A press release from ILTA stated its board of directors will appoint a selection committee and begin a search for Clay’s successor.

Thorner named interim CEO of ultrasound group

The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine has selected John Thorner to lead the organization on an interim basis, effective immediately.

Thorner was most recently interim executive director of the American Health Information Management Association Foundation and director of section of taxation at the American Bar Association for four years. Previously, he has held executive roles at organizations including the Academy of General Dentistry, American Society of Anesthesiologists, National Recreation and Park Association, Optical Society of America and the Air & Waste Management Association.

Thorner has a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Duke University, a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and a law degree from the University of Georgia.

America’s Credit Unions—America’s Credit Unions, the organization resulting from the merger of the National Association of Federally-Insured Credit Unions (NAFCU) and the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), has announced several appointments to its leadership team.

Jill Tomalin will be the group’s executive vice president. Tomalin has spent the past 23 years at CUNA, most recently as chief operating officer. Prior to CUNA, she worked for the Texas Credit Union League for five years.

Anthony Demangone was named chief membership and engagement officer. Demangone joined NAFCU in 2004 as vice president of regulatory compliance and senior federal counsel before working his way up to executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Eddie Rivera will serve as chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Rivera has spent the past 29 years at CUNA, most recently as chief financial officer.

Meghan Burris Small is chief communications and marketing officer. She joined NAFCU in February 2022 as vice president of communications and media relations. Previously, she was director of public affairs for the U.S. Department of Commerce.

Todd Spiczenski was named chief association services officer. Spiczenski has spent the past 23 years at CUNA, most recently as chief products and services officer. He previously held the roles of vice president of professional development and senior vice president.

American Clean Power AssociationAnne Reynolds is joining ACPA as vice president of offshore wind. She was most recently executive director of the Alliance for Clean Energy New York for nine years.

Chamber of Digital CommerceCody Carbone has been promoted to chief policy officer of The Chamber. He was previously policy director and later vice president of policy at the group. Earlier in his career, he spent five years at IT consultancy EY.
