Beddoe appointed interim CEO of nursing organization; longtime leader Haynes to retire from real estate group; more departures and arrivals

Haynes to retire from real estate group

The Pension Real Estate Association announced Gail Haynes will retire from the $6.8M-revenue group at the end of next year. She has led the organization since 1995. 

Korn Ferry has been retained to lead the search for Haynes’ successor.

Beddoe named interim leader of nursing organization

ANA Enterprise, the overarching organization of the $36M-revenue American Nurses Association, American Nursing Credentialing Center and the American Nurses Foundation, has appointed Angela Beddoe as Interim CEO, effective April 24. Beddoe succeeds Debbie Hatmaker, who was named Acting CEO in November 2023 following the departure of Loressa Cole.

“Angela’s seasoned corporate experience, demonstrated commitment to community engagement, and deep affinity for the nursing profession is what makes her the ideal choice to lead the ANA Enterprise during this transition period,” said ANA President Jennifer Mensik Kennedy.

Beddoe is currently on the board of the Center for Workforce Inclusion (CWI) and is chair of CWI Labs, the group’s innovation hub launched in 2019. Previously, she was a principal at GreenForce Energy|GForce Consulting and the vice president of public affairs and president of the company’s foundation. She is also on the board of nonprofit organization Business for Good.

She has a bachelor’s degree in government from Skidmore College.

Estelle promoted at copper industry group

The $5.8M-revenue Copper Development Association announced the group’s vice president, Adam Estelle, will succeed Andrew G. Kireta, Jr. as president and CEO, effective May 1. Kireta Jr. was recently named president of ASTM International

“As president and CEO, Estelle is well equipped to oversee a team of subject matter experts who work toward CDA’s mission of bringing the value of copper and its alloys to society to address the challenges of today and tomorrow,” said Michael O'Shaughnessy, chairman of the CDA Board.

Estelle joined CDA in 2008 as a project engineer before being named director of rod & bar in 2015. He was promoted to vice president in 2022. 

He has a bachelor’s degree in materials science from the University of Arizona.

Blue Cross Blue Shield AssociationMonica Auciello has been named chief legal officer and general counsel of $755.8M-revenue BCBSA. She was previously general counsel at Sidecar Health Insurance Company. Earlier in her career, she spent 16 years at the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island and five years at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont. 

Can Manufacturers InstituteTim Ebner has joined $8.3M-revenue CMI as communications director. He was previously communications director and press secretary for the American Forest & Paper Association. Earlier in his career, he was a senior editor for ASAE.

International Sign AssociationRyan Strowger has been appointed vice president of trade shows and meetings of $6M-revenue ISA. Strowger was most recently chief events and corporate engagement officer at Optica, where he spent five years. Previously, he spent six years at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, where he was senior vice president of exhibitions, conferences and sales. 

Semiconductor Industry AssociationAaron Woolf has joined $12.6M-revenue SIA as director of global policy for economic security. He was most recently a policy advisor at the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Investment Security.
