CEO Departures
McLernon to retire from global business group
The $6.4M-revenue Global Business Alliance announced Nancy McLernon, who founded the organization in 1990 and has led since, plans to retire at year end.
“For 35 years, since founding the Global Business Alliance, Nancy has aided America and American communities through her tireless efforts in support of foreign direct investment and the multinational companies that create jobs, innovation and economic growth in the United States,” said Hugh Welsh, vice chair of GBA’s Board. “We are all grateful for Nancy’s inspirational leadership and commitment not just for the success of GBA but also the millions of jobs, businesses and sustainable growth she made possible by her work.”
GBA’s Board of Directors has appointed Jonathan Samford as McLernon’s successor, effective Jan. 1, 2025. Samford joined GBA in 2013 as director of media and communications. Since then, he’s held the titles of vice president of communications, senior vice president of external affairs and executive vice president. Earlier in his career, he also worked at the U.S. House of Representatives and the American Diabetes Association.
Samford has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Centre College.

Pearce named president of cigar group
The $4.9M-revenue Cigar Association of America has named Scott Pearce its next president, effective May 28.
Pearce is currently executive director of the Premium Cigar Association, which he joined in 2018. Previously, he spent seven years at the American College of Radiology as director of marketing and five years at the International Road Federation as director of marketing and communications. Earlier in his career, he was also executive director of the Metropolitan Washington Road & Transportation Builders Association and deputy director of the American Road & Transportation Builders Association.
He has a bachelor’s degree in English and electronic journalism from George Mason University and a master’s degree in marketing and business strategy from Temple University.

Alliance for Automotive Innovation—Steve Sisneros has joined AAI as chief external affairs officer. He was most recently vice president of external mobilization at the American Petroleum Institute, where he spent five years.
American Academy of Physician Associates—Chantell Taylor has joined $30.4M-revenue AAPA as chief of public affairs and advocacy. She was most recently vice president of government affairs and advocacy for UCHealth, the largest academic health system in the Rocky Mountain region. She has also served as a regulatory and health policy attorney in both public and private sectors.
American Beverage—Cait DeBaun has joined $96.6M-revenue American Beverage as vice president, head of public affairs. Most recently, she spent four years at the American Gaming Association, where she was most recently vice president of strategic communications and responsibility. She was also previously director of communications at the U.S. Travel Association for four years.
American Forest & Paper Association—Ryan Carroll has joined $30.7M-revenue AFPA as senior director of government affairs. He was previously vice president of government affairs for the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association. Earlier in his career, he was government affairs manager for the Auto Care Association.
FMI – The Food Industry Association—$44.8M-revenue FMI announced two additions to its leadership team.
Shelby Furman has joined the group as director of food and product safety programs. Previously, she was principal chemist for Advanced Polymer, Inc., a chemical manufacturing company. Earlier in her career, she held various academic roles, including post-doctoral research fellow at Queen’s University in Ontario, Canada, and graduate research assistant at the University of Tennessee.
Julie Savoie was named senior director of workforce, talent and sustainability. Savoie has spent the past two years as director of sustainability at CropLife America. She was previously director of SmartLabel for the Consumer Brands Association. Earlier in her career, she spent four years at beauty retail chain Bluemercury.
National Pork Producers Council—Andy Curliss has joined $19.6M-revenue NPPC as vice president of strategic engagement. Most recently, he was director of external affairs at software development company SAS Institute, where he spent three years. He was previously CEO of the North Carolina Pork Council for four years.
NCTA – The Internet & Television Association—Russ Hanser has joined $65.8M-revenue NCTA as deputy chief legal officer. He previously worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce, where he held the roles of NTIA associate administrator for policy analysis and development, senior policy advisor to Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo and director of communications policy initiatives at NTIA. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP for more than 15 years.

Haynes to retire from real estate group
The Pension Real Estate Association announced Gail Haynes will retire from the $6.8M-revenue group at the end of next year. She has led the organization since 1995.
Korn Ferry has been retained to lead the search for Haynes’ successor.

Beddoe named interim leader of nursing organization
ANA Enterprise, the overarching organization of the $36M-revenue American Nurses Association, American Nursing Credentialing Center and the American Nurses Foundation, has appointed Angela Beddoe as Interim CEO, effective April 24. Beddoe succeeds Debbie Hatmaker, who was named Acting CEO in November 2023 following the departure of Loressa Cole.
“Angela’s seasoned corporate experience, demonstrated commitment to community engagement, and deep affinity for the nursing profession is what makes her the ideal choice to lead the ANA Enterprise during this transition period,” said ANA President Jennifer Mensik Kennedy.
Beddoe is currently on the board of the Center for Workforce Inclusion (CWI) and is chair of CWI Labs, the group’s innovation hub launched in 2019. Previously, she was a principal at GreenForce Energy|GForce Consulting and the vice president of public affairs and president of the company’s foundation. She is also on the board of nonprofit organization Business for Good.
She has a bachelor’s degree in government from Skidmore College.

Estelle promoted at copper industry group
The $5.8M-revenue Copper Development Association announced the group’s vice president, Adam Estelle, will succeed Andrew G. Kireta, Jr. as president and CEO, effective May 1. Kireta Jr. was recently named president of ASTM International.
“As president and CEO, Estelle is well equipped to oversee a team of subject matter experts who work toward CDA’s mission of bringing the value of copper and its alloys to society to address the challenges of today and tomorrow,” said Michael O'Shaughnessy, chairman of the CDA Board.
Estelle joined CDA in 2008 as a project engineer before being named director of rod & bar in 2015. He was promoted to vice president in 2022.

Blue Cross Blue Shield Association—Monica Auciello has been named chief legal officer and general counsel of $755.8M-revenue BCBSA. She was previously general counsel at Sidecar Health Insurance Company. Earlier in her career, she spent 16 years at the Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island and five years at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont.
Can Manufacturers Institute—Tim Ebner has joined $8.3M-revenue CMI as communications director. He was previously communications director and press secretary for the American Forest & Paper Association. Earlier in his career, he was a senior editor for ASAE.
International Sign Association—Ryan Strowger has been appointed vice president of trade shows and meetings of $6M-revenue ISA. Strowger was most recently chief events and corporate engagement officer at Optica, where he spent five years. Previously, he spent six years at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, where he was senior vice president of exhibitions, conferences and sales.
Semiconductor Industry Association—Aaron Woolf has joined $12.6M-revenue SIA as director of global policy for economic security. He was most recently a policy advisor at the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Investment Security.

Gaus to retire from care organizations group
The National Association of ACOs ($4.4M-revenue) announced President and CEO Clif Gaus will retire this fall. Gaus co-founded the organization in 2012 and has led the organization since.
“Clif has been an instrumental leader in the ACO movement, back to the passing of the Affordable Care Act. To this day, he is a stalwart supporter of health care transformation that is driven by providers taking accountability for total cost of care and outcomes to achieve better, more accessible, affordable and equitable care for patients, families and communities. We wish him all the best as he turns the page on this chapter of his career,” said Emily DuHamel Brower, NAACOS board president.

Robbins promoted at uncrewed vehicles group
The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International ($24.8M-revenue) announced Michael Robbins has been promoted from chief advocacy officer to president and CEO. He succeeds Brian Wynne, who left the organization in Feb. 2024.
“Michael has proven himself as an effective advocate and leader in the industry, and with his extensive experience in government, military and industry, was the unanimous Board choice to be AUVSI’s president and CEO. He has invested years in building strong relationships with AUVSI’s members, government stakeholders and within the broader uncrewed systems community,” said William Irby, chair of the Board of Directors.
Robbins joined the organization in 2020 as executive vice president of government and public affairs. Previously, he co-founded Intrepid, a business consulting firm and was managing director of government and public affairs at the Air Line Pilot Association, International. He is also an officer in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University.
Powell takes the helm at clean energy group
The Clean Energy Buyers Alliance has appointed Rich Powell as the group’s next CEO, effective May 13. He will succeed Kevin Hagen, who was named acting CEO in 2023.
“Rich Powell is an exceptional leader with a strong record of successful energy policy and innovation advocacy, and a unique talent for finding common ground amongst a wide range of stakeholders. Now more than ever, we need to rapidly transform electricity systems to meet growing demand with carbon-free energy in a way that maximizes economic growth and opportunity. Powell has led clean energy nonprofit ClearPath for the past nine years. Previously, he spent three years at McKinsey & Company in an energy and sustainability role.

Williams to lead student nurses group
The National Student Nurses’ Association ($2.4M-revenue) announced the appointment of Kenya D. Williams as CEO. She succeeds Diane Mancino, who had led the group for 28 years.
“In order to better align NSNA with the best practice that of other professional organizations, a unanimous vote by the 2023-2024 Board of Directors concluded that the executive director would become chief executive officer. Throughout her time as executive director, Dr. Kenya Williams has reflected the professionalism and the responsibilities that of a CEO and we wanted to ensure that her title reflected that," said Lauren Lodico, 2023-2024 NSNA President.
Williams joined NSNA in 2016 as director of governance and policy before being named deputy executive director in 2020.
She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, a master’s degree in health systems management from the University of Virginia and a doctorate in interdisciplinary leadership from Creighton University.

American Bankers Association— Elizabeth Coit has left her role as vice president and national political director at $592.8M-revenue ABA to join lobbying firm AxAdvocacy as senior vice president of public affairs. She was with ABA for 11 years, originally joining as senior director in 2012.
Alliance for Automotive Innovation — Don Stewart has left his position as an executive vice president at AAI to start his own political advisory firm The Stewart Group. Stewart joined AAI in 2020 and previously spent 22 years in the U.S. Senate, most recently as deputy chief of staff to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
Biotechnology Innovation Organization— Nick Shipley has left his role as chief advocacy officer at $103.2M-revenue BIO. The departure coincides with the group’s decision to shift its stance regarding the BIOSECURE Act, which would prohibit Chinese biotech companies from doing business in the U.S.
“It was clear that there were just some differences in policy and priorities that were emerging that led to a decision to move on in different directions,” Shipley told Jared Whitlock of Endpoints News.
Shipley joined BIO in 2021 as executive vice president and was previously vice president at the Pharmaceutical Researchers and Manufacturers Association.
National Association of Manufacturers— Ken Monahan is no longer vice president of international policy at $64M-revenue NAM. He has joined biotechnology company Thermo Fisher Scientific as senior director of U.S. government relations. Monahan was at NAM for nine years.
National Retail Federation— Dakota Jackson’s position of director of political affairs has allegedly been eliminated at $61.7M-revenue NRF, according to a post on Jackson’s LinkedIn. Jackson originally joined the group in 2021 as a senior manager of political affairs and has since joined fast fashion retailer SHEIN as director of government relations and engagement.

American Cleaning Institute — ACI ($12.9M-revenue) has promoted James Kim from vice president of science and regulatory affairs to senior vice president of science and regulatory affairs. He joined the group in 2018 as associate vice president for science and regulatory affairs. Previously, he was a toxicologist at the United States Office of Management and Budget and senior scientific program manager at the Health and Environmental Sciences Institute.
American Council of Life Insurers — ACLI ($44.9M-revenue) announced several changes to its leadership team.
Jill Kozeny has been named executive vice president and chief advocacy officer. She joined the group in 2019 as senior vice president of communications and public affairs before being named executive vice president of public affairs in 2022. She previously spent three decades in the U.S. Senate and was chief of staff to U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa).
Howard Bard is now senior vice president and deputy general counsel. Bard joined ACLI in 2015 as vice president of taxes and retirement security before being named vice president and chief counsel of employee benefits in 2022. He was previously assistant general counsel of retirement policy at the Investment Company Institute.
Scott Dixon has been promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer. He was named the group’s vice president of finance in 2004. He previously spent nine years at business services firm CBIZ.
Carrie Haughawout was named senior vice president of life insurance and regulatory policy. She joined ACLI in 2023 as vice president of life insurance and regulatory policy. Previously, she spent 12 years at the Ohio Department of Insurance, most recently as deputy director.
Maria Palacios now holds the title of senior vice president and chief human resources officer. Palacios joined the group in 1994 as managing director of human resources before being named vice president and chief human resources officer in 2019.
American Trucking Associations — Jessica Gail has joined $48.8M-revenue ATA as senior director of media and communications. She was most recently communications director for Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) and spent over seven years working at the U.S. House of Representatives.
National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors — Carol Walsh has been named senior vice president of operations at $9M-revenue NAW. She joins the group from the National Association of School Nurses, where she spent the past six years as chief operating officer.
National Association of Professional Insurance Agents— $1.5M-revenue PIA announced two promotions to its leadership team.
Dana Anaman has been named chief operating officer. She joined PIA in 2017 as manager of marketing, membership and affiliate relations before being named director of marketing and affiliate relations in 2019. Previously, she spent four years at ASAE.
Jon Gentile has been promoted to chief public affairs and advocacy officer. Gentile, who was formerly vice president of government relations, has been with PIA since 2014. Previously, he spent three years at the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, most recently as associate director of government relations.

Greenbaum to step down at executive search association
The Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC) announced Karen Greenbaum will step down as CEO of the organization, effective Dec. 31 when her contract expires. She has led AESC since 2014.
The selection committee, a subcommittee of the AESC Board of Directors, is co-led by Julian Ha (Heidrick & Struggles) and Emanuela Aureli, Chair Emeritus.

Parnell promoted to president of student affairs group
The National Association of Student Personnel Administrators announced Amelia Parnell has been promoted from vice president for research and policy to president. She will succeed Kevin Kruger on July 1. Kruger has led the organization since 2012.
“Among the things that most impressed the search committee was Dr. Parnell’s passion for providing student affairs professionals the resources and support they need to best do their jobs in an evolving higher education landscape. Parnell joined NASPA in 2015. Previously, she spent two years at the Association for Institutional Research, most recently as director of research initiatives.

Oden appointed leader of turkey industry organization
The National Turkey Federation announced Leslee Oden has been appointed president and CEO. She will succeed Joel Brandenberger in July following his retirement after 17 years at the helm.
“We conducted a thorough search, and it was abundantly clear that Leslee was the candidate with the in-depth knowledge needed to help navigate our industry through the intricate and challenging issues the turkey industry is up against. Her tenure at NTF brings a wealth of knowledge, steadfast dedication, key industry relationships and a deep understanding of legislative and regulatory priorities that will continue to lead the turkey industry into the future,” said NTF Chairman John Zimmerman.
Oden joined NTF in 2009 as an intern. Since then, she’s held the positions of legislative affairs manager, director of legislative affairs and vice president of legislative affairs.
She has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in poultry science from Texas A&M University.

Rossen promoted at school psychologists group
The National Association of School Psychologists announced Eric Rossen will take the position of executive director, effective July 1. He will succeed Kathleen Minke, who has led NASP since 2018.
"After an extensive national search that yielded many excellent candidates, Eric rose to the top on the merits of his innovative ideas, exceptional leadership skills, and proven track record in association management at the director level," said NASP President Andrea Clyne. "A gifted thinker and collaborator, Eric will help advance NASP's mission to empower school psychologists as they champion the needs of children, families, and schools."
Rossen joined NASP in 2010 and has been director of professional development and standards since. Previously, he worked in public schools, independent practice and as adjunct faculty.
He has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and a doctorate in school psychology from the University of Florida.

The Food Production Solutions Association announced Matthew R. Ott has been appointed president and CEO.

Kathie Vu has been named vice president of member engagement and experience. Previously, she was director of corporate partnership development for the Philadelphia Eagles and vice president of licensing and business development for the NFL Players Association.
Natalie Rubino has joined CBA as director of media relations. She was previously director of public relations at communications agency imre and associate director of media and engagement at health innovation company Real Chemistry.
Solar Energy Industries Association—Gizelle Wray has returned to SEIA as vice president and general counsel. She previously spent three years at the group, most recently as senior director of regulatory affairs and counsel. Between stints, she was director of regulatory affairs at solar developer Savion.

Cheeks promoted at education administration group
The National Association of ESEA State Program Administrators announced M. Edward Cheeks has succeeded Erin Hanley as CEO of the organization. Hanley was named CEO in 2021.
Cheeks joined NAESPA in 2017 as chief programs officer. He previously spent nearly 13 years at the Mississippi Department of Education.
He has a bachelor’s degree in humanities from Tougaloo College, a master’s degree in educational guidance and counseling from Jackson State University and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Mississippi.
Rasmussen takes top role at property assessment group
The International Association of Assessing Officers announced the appointment of Amy Rasmussen as its new executive director.
Rasmussen was most recently chief deputy assessor for the Riverside County (Calif.) Assessor-County Clerk Recorder’s Officer. Previously, she was chief deputy assessor for the Polk County (Iowa) Assessor’s Office.
She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in public policy from Drake University.

Gilpin to leave facility management group
The International Facility Management Association announced President and CEO Don Gilpin will not renew his contract at its conclusion next year. He will step down June 30, 2025.
“On behalf of the global board of directors, I would like to express our profound appreciation to Don Gilpin for all he has accomplished for IFMA,” said IFMA Board Chair Dean Stanberry. “Don took the helm during a time of challenge for the organization and was able to skillfully navigate the association to a position of ongoing strength and respect across the industry.
Gilpin joined IFMA in 2018 as a consultant before being named chief operating officer and later president and CEO. Previously, he spent 17 years at home technology nonprofit CEDIA, most recently as director of workforce development and veteran employment.

Kireta Jr. named leader of materials group
ASTM International has appointed Andrew G. Kireta Jr. as its next president, effective May 1. He will succeed Katharine Morgan, who has led the group since 2017 and will be retiring after a 40 year career with the organization.
“Andy has spent years supporting ASTM International in a variety of volunteer roles and is exceptionally well-suited to lead the organization forward. He brings a strong commitment to ASTM’s mission, values, and membership. Kathie’s dedication and engagement have made it possible for us to find the right leader for ASTM’s future, and we are delighted she will help to ensure a smooth transition as Andy assumes the role in May,” said Bill Griese, 2024 chair of ASTM’s Board of Directors.
Kireta Jr. will join ASTM International from the Copper Development Association. He has worked for CDA since 1992 and is currently president and CEO of the organization. He has also been on the ASTM International Board of Directors since 2014.

Work to helm insurance association
The Surety & Fidelity Association of America announced Ryan C. Work has been named the group’s next president and CEO. Former President and CEO Lee Covington left the organization in September 2023 to lead the Reinsurance Association of America.
“With Ryan’s in-depth trade association management experience and background in developing and managing strategic outreach and policy programs before Congress, the administration, and various federal and state regulatory agencies, the board is confident in his ability to lead the association successfully,” said Robert Murray, SFAA Board Chairman.
Work was most recently senior vice president of government relations at the Self-Insurance Institute of America, where he spent nine years. Previously, he was senior director of government and regulatory policy at publishing company McGraw-Hill and legislative director for Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Was.) and Katherine Harris (R-Fla.).
He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Penn State University.

Brewers Association—Nancy Johnson will retire as senior vice president of meetings and events at year end. She joined the group in 1993 as a temporary registrar before being named event coordinator and later event director.
Nareit—Tony Edwards is retiring as senior executive vice president of Nareit (National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts) at the end of March. He has spent the past 30 years at the association, where he also held the role of executive vice president and general counsel.

American Hospital Association—Mike Schiller has been appointed executive director of the Association for Health Care Resource & Materials Management of the American Hospital Association. He has led the group on an interim basis since 2023 and was previously AHRMM’s senior director of supply chain.
International Dairy Foods Association—IDFA has announced new roles for three members of its executive team, as well as a retirement.
Tom Wojno is now chief operating officer in addition to senior vice president of innovation and member advancement. Wojno joined IDFA in 2017 from the National Restaurant Association, where he was vice president of member value and strategy. Previously, he also worked for America’s Promise Alliance and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Colin Newman is now senior vice president of strategic initiatives, as well as chief of staff. Newman joined IDFA in 2017 as manager of legislative affairs and political programs before being named director of political affairs and strategic programs in 2019. Neil Moran has moved into a part-time role with the organization and will retire as senior vice president of finance and administration, effective June 30. Moran has been with IDFA since 2007, when he was appointed vice president of finance and administration before being promoted to senior vice president. He was previously chief financial officer for the National Capital Revitalization Corporation.
Water Quality Association—Jeremy Pollack has been named government affairs director of WQA. He previously worked in an advisory role for the group and was most recently manager of federal and global government affairs for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

Nguyen named leader of distilled spirits group
The American Distilled Spirits Alliance announced Amanda Nguyen has succeeded Matt Dogali as president and CEO.
“We are thrilled to have Amanda join and lead ADSA through the next phase of its development into a leading beverage alcohol trade association. Amanda brings a wealth of experience in critical and relevant policy areas of health, regulation and taxation, all of which will play an essential role in the future shape of the beverage alcohol industry,” said ASDA Chairman David Bratcher.
Nguyen joins ADSA from the Fragrance Creators Association, where she spent the past seven years. At FCA, she was most recently vice president of government affairs and legal. Previously, she was assistant attorney general at the Tennessee Attorney General’s Office.

Anderson announced as CEO of insurance commissioners
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners named Gary D. Anderson the group’s next CEO. Anderson succeeds former acting CEO Andrew J. Beal, who has led the organization since the April 2023 resignation of Michael F. Consedine.
“Selecting the next NAIC CEO has been arduous but rewarding,” said NAIC President and Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Andrew Mais. “We were looking for the best fit, and we found it in Gary Anderson. Gary’s dedication to our state-based system of insurance regulation and his insurance expertise are top notch. We look forward to his leadership as we navigate the complexities of regulating the insurance sector and deliver on our mission to protect consumers.”
Anderson has been the commissioner of the Massachusetts Division of Insurance since 2017. Previously, he was policy advisor and senior counsel for the Office of the Massachusetts Senate President.

Neely to retire from life insurers
The American Council of Life Insurers announced Susan Neely will retire at year end.

Neely joined ACLI as president and CEO in September 2018. Previously, she was president and CEO of the American Beverage Association for 13 years. Earlier in her career, she was special assistant to President George W. Bush, assistant secretary for public affairs at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and senior vice president of the Association of American Medical Colleges.

Rogers resigns from hotel association
The American Hotel & Lodging Association announced William “Chip” Rogers has resigned from his position as president and CEO to pursue other professional interests. AHLA Senior Executive Vice President and COO Kevin Carey has been named interim president and CEO.
“On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Chip for his service to AHLA. We now begin a search for a new CEO to lead AHLA during this exciting time for both our industry and our association. The board and I look forward to working with the next CEO to advance our mission well into the future.”
Rogers joined AHLA as president and CEO in January 2019. Previously, he was president and CEO of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association for four years. He also served in the Georgia General Assembly for 10 years.
Carey has been AHLA’s COO and senior executive vice president since June 2017. Earlier in his career, he spent three years at American Express Global Business Travel.
AHLA will begin a search for Rogers’ successor in the coming weeks.
Chamberlain to retire from building owner groups
Building Owners and Managers Association International and Building Owners and Managers Institute announced President Henry Chamberlain will be retiring at the end of the year following 39 years with BOMA International. Senior Vice President Mary Lue Peck will succeed him Jan. 1, 2025.
“(Henry’s) openness to change, continuous learning, amiable leadership style and focus on the future have allowed us to grow and prosper. Mary Lue joined us two and a half years ago and has proven herself to be a strong leader who will be highly successful at building upon the initiatives we have been launching with an eye to BOMA’s future,” said BOMA International Chairman and CEO Bob Six.
Mary Lue Peck joined BOMA International in 2021 from the National Speakers Association, where she was president and CEO. She was previously chief content and engagement officer at the Institute for Supply Management for over 12 years.
Peck has a bachelor’s degree in information technology from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree in management from Western International University.

Fraser to lead pathologists
The College of American Pathologists has named Michael Fraser its next CEO.
“During our national search for a new CEO, I had multiple great conversations with Mike Fraser, imagining the possibilities for our specialty and our organization,” said Donald Karcher, president of the CAP. “Mike and I are both excited about him partnering with us on strategy, supporting innovation in pathology and the CAP, and helping us grow, while keeping our core, foundational objectives front and center.”
Fraser was most recently executive director of the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, where he spent seven years. Previously, he was CEO and executive vice president of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and CEO of the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs.
He has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Oberlin College, a master’s degree in management and leadership and strategy from Michigan State University and a doctorate degree in sociology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Kanter to succeed Fraser at health officials group
The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials announced Joseph Kanter will succeed Michael Fraser as CEO, effective April 8. Fraser was recently named CEO of the College of American Pathologists.
"Dr. Kanter’s expertise navigating a complex policy environment, leading a dynamic team of public health professionals, and his compassion make him uniquely suited for this role," said Steven J. Stack, ASTHO president. "I worked collaboratively with him during his tenure as a state health officer and witnessed first-hand his ability to communicate to a broad array of audiences to build trust amongst colleagues, partners, and the public."
Kanter joins ASTHO from the Louisiana Department of Health, where he spent five years and was most recently state health officer. Previously, he was director of health for the City of New Orleans. He is also a practicing physician and clinical assistant professor of medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center and the Tulane School of Medicine.
He has a bachelor’s degree in history from Northwestern University, a master’s degree in public health and a doctorate in medicine from Tulane University.

The Healthcare Leadership Council has named Maria Ghazal its next president and CEO. She succeeds Mary R. Grealy, who has retired after leading HLC for 24 years.
“Maria has a stellar record in public policy, legal affairs, advocacy and managing a CEO membership organization. Moreover, she has decades of experience in health care policy, including representing the voice of America’s leading CEOs during the debate over the Affordable Care Act,” said HLC Board Chairman Calvin Schmidt.
Ghazal was most recently senior vice president and counsel of Business Roundtable, where she spent 19 years. Earlier in her career, she was also director of health policy for the American Benefits Council for eight years.

Fabrizio named president of technology group
The Consumer Technology Association announced Kinsey Fabrizio has been named president. Gary Shapiro will remain CEO of CTA.
"This decision, supported unanimously by our board, resulted from years of careful succession planning and mentoring. Kinsey's hard work, successes, get-it-done and positive attitude propelled her to president,” said Pat Lavelle, chairman of the CTA Compensation Committee and CTA industry executive advisor.
Fabrizio joined CTA in 2008 and has since held titles including vice president of member engagement, vice president of membership and senior vice president of CES and membership.
She has bachelor’s degrees in government and international politics and Spanish and a master’s degree in business administration from George Mason University.
Dunn to lead pesticides group
CropLife America has named Alexandra Dunn president and CEO of the organization. Chris Novak, former president and CEO, left the organization last October.
“As CLA members continue to innovate to address challenges faced by growers, health officials, and consumers, Alex’s experience will provide guidance and leadership in both the policy and regulatory spaces. We look forward to working with her as she steps into this role,” said Andy Lee, chairman of the board and president and CEO of Valent North America.
Dunn was most recently a partner in the environmental, safety and incident response group at international law firm Baker Botts, L.L.P. She was also assistant administrator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention from 2019 to 2021.

Boehm to take the helm at automobile group
The American Automobile Association(AAA) announced Gene Boehm will succeed Marshall Doney as president and CEO, effective April 1. Doney has been with the organization for 40 years and has led since 2015.
